Charlestown Swimming Club is a Coast & Valley Swimming Association (CVSA) aligned club and has been associated with Charlestown Swim Centre since 1976. The centre is operated by Lake Macquarie Council and we are fortunate to have access to heated 50m and 25m pools to enable training 12 months of the year.
Our club has a long and proud association with competitive swimming in the Hunter region, producing many Australian Age, NSW State and NSW Country medallists. Other achievements include;
- Swimmers representing at CVSA, NSW Country, NSW State and National level
- Swimmers achieving top 25 rankings in their respective age groups in Australia
- ‘Quality Club’ award at the 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 CVSA Short Course Championships
- ‘Quality Club’ award at the 2024 CVSA Long Course Championships
- Swimmers selected on various Swimming Australia and NSW Swimming development pathways
Our club night program is just as important, providing an environment for swimmers of all abilities to experience racing against swimmers of similar abilities. These nights are designed to be fun, to build friendships, to develop a sense of team and for swimmers to try and improve their times.
We encourage swimmers who train at Charlestown Swim Centre to join the club to experience the fun of racing no matter the level. Similarly, we encourage those who train at Charlestown Swim Centre to swim for Charlestown Swimming Club to help build our already strong squad bond.
